A desktop chat client and iOS and Android apps are available for Zoosk. Zoosk employs algorithmic recommendations and big data to assist users in finding relationships. In order to create more precise matches, their "unique Behavioral Matchmaking engine" absorbs information from users' clicks, chatting, and other actions. The theory is that the more user data Zoosk collects, the more accurate its recommendations will be.
To stop users from "publishing images of themselves when they were 10 years younger or 20 pounds lighter," Zoosk implemented its Photo Verification service in August 2014.
Users are requested to take a video selfie in order to record their appearance from various angles in order to validate a snapshot. The user's profile photo and video are then compared by Zoosk administrators to see if they match. When they do, the user's images are given a green checkmark.
